Itinerary
Upon having your breakfast, your designated driver guide will pick you up to commence your 7-day Uganda Primate and wildlife safari. Head towards Kibale Forest National Park, renowned as the Primate Capital of the World. En route, traverse the picturesque landscapes of southwestern Uganda and stop in the charming Fort Portal town for lunch. Afterward, proceed to your reserved lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Following a mouthwatering breakfast, embark on an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience at Kanyanchu Information Centre. Trek through forest trails in search of chimpanzees and various primates. Spend an hour observing and capturing memories with these fascinating creatures. After lunch, explore the diverse wildlife at Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary on a nature walk. Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, choose between a nature walk in Kibale Forest or a direct drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a haven of diverse ecosystems. Check into your reserved lodge, enjoy lunch, and take a moment to relax. Embark on an evening game drive to spot a myriad of mammal species, including elephants, leopards, hyenas, lions, and more. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Start your day with an early morning game drive to catch sight of the wildlife in the Kasenyi track. Afterward, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, witnessing hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and a variety of bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, check out and embark on an early morning game drive. Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through the Ishasha plains known for tree-climbing lions. Enjoy lunch en-route and arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening. Check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Begin the day with breakfast and head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla tracking guidelines. Embark on the gorilla tracking activity, accompanied by an armed ranger and potters. Spend an hour with the mountain gorillas once located. You will get to chance to interact and watch with the gorillas as they play, feed and go about their day. The trek lasts between 2-8 hours depending on the location. Return to the lodge for a hot lunch. In the evening, visit the Batwa Pygmies, the traditional forest dwellers. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Check out after an early breakfast and drive back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport, passing through scenic green hills. Expect lunch en-route and arrive in the late afternoon at your preferred drop-off point, concluding your memorable 7-day Uganda Primates and Wildlife Safari.
