Enjoy our ultimate 4 days Queen, Bwindi tour from Entebbe. This short Uganda safari combines wildlife/game viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park and gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Queen Elizabeth Park is Uganda’s second largest park located on the Western side of the country. A game drive and boat cruise will be done at Queen Elizabeth NP and mountain gorilla encounters in Bwindi.

Bwindi National Park lies in Kabale, Southwestern Uganda and it is where 459 mountain gorillas reside. This is a 331sq.km park, with 4 gorilla trekking regions -Buhoma, Ruhija, Nkuringo, and Rushaga. Your expedition to explore the two protected areas on Uganda safari starts and ends in Entebbe city.

Itinerary

Day 1 :
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park BINP (8-9 hours’ drive)

Day one will be spent for you to transfer to Bwindi National Park and set off at Entebbe. Over 8-9, hours will be spent on the road, but it comes with a stopover visit at Uganda Equator and lunch at the Igongo cultural centre. Proceed to Kabale with a scenic drive while viewing the rolling hills, and arrive early to check in at your pre-booked lodge.

Lunch, Dinner
Day 2 :
Gorilla trekking & Queen Elizabeth NP

Delicious breakfast in the morning, followed by a briefing about gorilla trekking guidelines at Bwindi National Park offices. You will leave the Buhoma sector or any other gorilla tracking region at 8:00 am and begin the search for gorilla families, about a 2-6 hours adventure which includes an hour of photography and exploring gorillas’ behaviours. Return to the lodge where you will check out, and drive to Queen Elizabeth NP through the Ishasha sector where tree-climbing lions can be spotted.

Day 3 :
Game drive & Kazinga boat tour

After breakfast, set off for a game drive along Kasenyi plains for 2-3 hours using a 4×4 tourist vehicle. A variety of savanna animals will be viewed including large herds of buffaloes, elephants, lions, antelopes, leopards, warthogs, birds, and many more. In the afternoon, a boat cruise tour will be enjoyed along the Kazinga channel. Several aquatic life will be spotted during a boat tour including hippos, crocodiles, and birds, then you will get back to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 4 :
Departure for Entebbe city

A hefty breakfast will be had early in the morning, after, check out of the lodge and start your return trip to Entebbe city. Lunch will be enjoyed at a hotel in Mbarara and you proceed to the Equator for photo taking. After driving to a hotel in Entebbe for relaxation and this will mark the end of 4 days Queen, Bwindi tour from Entebbe.

What do i need to Track Gorillas ?

You need a Gorilla Permit and to get to the destination.

Are there limitations to Track Gorillas ?

Yes we have limitations like;
if you have flue, Cough, Covid or any airborne disease as they are transferable from humans to the Gorillas

What do i need to carry if am going Gorilla tracking ?

– a hat to shelter you from direct sun raise
– walking stick ( optional but always provided by the hotel)
– camera ( flash should be off)
– water proof clothing as it an impenetrable Forest
– packed meal and water

Can Gorillas Attack while viewing them ?

These are habituated Gorillas who are used to be viewed, but should be atleast a meter away from the gorillas and should not look direct in their eyes, but still we have all protection in place if any of such happens as we have armed guides.

what level of fitness is needed for Gorilla Trekking ?

Should be Mobile with some level activity

Is Gorilla Trekking better in Uganda or Rwanda ?

Its the same Experience, though Rwanda is low land and Uganda is Highland, also the rates differ Uganda at $700 and Rwanda $1500.

Is Gorilla Trekking Good for Gorillas ?

Yes, it is good, that’s why they are researched and studied and Habituated with a very good conservation Team.

why is Gorilla trekking so expensive ?

Gorillas are just a few remaining and a lot of funding is needed to conserve them
