Itinerary
You will be picked up early at Kigali Airport (KGL) and connect to your hotel. Today, your guide will also enlighten you about this special tour.
After breakfast, meet your city tour guide for pick up ready to explore Kigali capital city of Rwanda. Kigali is a vibrant city, a green and cleanest city in Africa and the world at large. Today’s city tour includes visit to key areas such Kigali genocide site where you have in-depth learning on what took place during the 1994 Rwanda genocide.
Other areas of interest include craft centers and local markets, especially Kimironko market and you will have early lunch before setting off to Volcanoes National Park (VNP). Arrive early and you will visit Iby’Iwacu village for authentic cultural experience, explore the different traditions and cultures of Rwandese.
Leave your lodge for briefing about gorilla trekking rules at the park offices. The park official will also allocate gorilla families to you during the morning briefing session, and after, you will begin your gorilla trek adventure at 8:00am. With the park guide leading, expect to spend about 2-6 hours during this primate excursion with guarantee of one hour for a close encounter. Start walking back to the lodge after the magical encounter and pick your property, then return to Kigali for a night stay.
After breakfast, you will be picked up and driven to Kigali Airport. Today is dedicated for you to connect to Nairobi city, Kenya. You will check in at the Boma Hotel Nairobi for relaxation and overnight stay.
Set off from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park, home to huge concentration of elephants and also a perfect place to enjoy the breathtaking view of Kilimanjaro Volcano at the background. Get to Amboseli early enough, settle for lunch and afterwards, relax then continue with an afternoon game drive. On a game drive, search for the big game and other wildlife.
Leave your wildlife safari lodge for a long day game viewing with an experienced guide. You will be searching for the large herds of elephants, giraffes, lions, dik-dik, cheetahs, leopards, Kudus, buffaloes and birds. Today’s game viewing combines the morning and afternoon game drives.
Early in the morning, you will be picked up and transferred to Lake Nakuru National Park for a memorable birding and game viewing. Lake Nakuru NP is set on the Great Rift Valley floor, and on its surrounding, there are bush grasslands and woodlands. It is a spectacular park in Kenya with a beautiful rift valley soda lake –Lake Nakuru.
At Nakuru N/Park, you will embark on a boat ride for incredible birding sightings on Lake Nakuru. The park offers excellent sightings of millions of flamingos, and wildlife like elephants, rhinos, and more.
Enjoy breakfast early in the morning and after, you will be exiting Lake Nakuru NP with game drive. The morning game drive will allow you encounter some of the wildlife that you didn’t see the previous day during the afternoon game viewing. You will have the long afternoon and evening at Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Enjoy a full day looking for Maasai Mara National Reserve’s abundant wildlife and you will be accompanied by an experienced guide. In a 4×4 safari vehicle, you will be thrilled by wildlife encounters in the savanna plains of Maasai Mara including elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, rhinos, and above all witness the wildebeest migration. Settle for a leisurely lunch and an afternoon game viewing will continue for you to see more wildlife.
After breakfast, you will check out with your property and you will be transferred to Nairobi. Today marks the end of 10 days Kenya and Rwanda.
